We do not accept insurance. We accept sliding scale. This is why.

There are a variety of reasons practices choose not to accept insurance during the payment process. Interluding Opus chooses not to accept insurance for the following reasons: confidentiality, we do not require a diagnosis during treatment, we choose for our Clients and Therapists to be in charge of their course of treatment, and because we value providing affordable, accessible services. For additional information continue reading.

Confidentiality. Interluding Opus believes what happens in session, stays in session. Clients that have worked with Rachel in the past call this the "Vegas Rule." When insurance companies provide payment for services a diagnosis and treatment notes can be required. Interluding Opus believes the Client should decide who gets to know this information. For more information about confidentiality, please ask your therapist.

We do not require a diagnosis. People choose to engage in therapy for a variety of reasons. Interluding Opus does not feel a diagnosis should have to be given in order to provide or continue treatment. A diagnosis is not always needed for care.

Affordable, accessible services. A good therapist who is affordable can be hard to find. We aim to find a way for our services to be accessible for everyone. Ask your therapist for more information about sliding-scale services. If insurance was accepted as part of payment, the cost of each session would be higher in order to cover premiums. **Interluding Opus is happy to provide Clients with a super-bill at the end of each month to provide for insurance companies.
