My Approach
Each person's pathway through therapy is different which means the type of intervention provided should be, too. Within Music Therapy, there are many ways to address whatever need presents itself - whether that's a need someone knows they have or one that surprises them. I believe the most important piece of working with someone is building a strong relationship, and growing from there.
Philosophy of Practice
A strong relationship is at the foundation of all therapeutic interactions. I value having a comfortable space to spend sessions where people feel safe asking tough questions, laughing, trying something new, or relaxing for the first time all day! My goal is for all Clients to feel supported navigating life experiences and growth in ways that feel genuine to them.
Areas of Specialty
I've spent years developing skills to support clients learn how to address and attune to their individual needs. I have additional training in intervention related to attachment disorders, adjustment disorders, trauma, grief & loss, LGBTQ+, anxiety, and depression. My approach is eclectic, and is informed by CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, attachment based therapy, and sandplay therapy. Cultural humility is a cornerstone of my practice, and I believe you are the expert of your own experience. I aim to authentically partner with you.
